Made an interesting discovery a few days back. Was discussing with a belgian guy about the Tatas. Instinctively, I told him that we use tata in India to mean bye.

Later it came to me that it is a contribution of the trucks to our lingo. Almost, all the trucks have the logo of 'Tata' with 'ok' and 'bye' written on left and right of it, respectively. This has made the word 'tata' synonymous with bye!!

Amazing how languages grow.

OK TATA BYE .. Phir Milenge
is so common and never realized it is logo of TATA.
Good discovery.

That means this word was not in existence before trucks came into existence.

Good One!!
