Rajasthani खाना

Another dinner. This time, it was Rajasthani cuisine. 'Suruchi' ः A restaurant in Karol Bagh offers Rajasthani/Gujrati food. (Directions : When entering Ajmal khan road from Pusa, take 3rd left turn, leave one crossing, you should see it on your left).

Food was awesome, amazing 'dal-baati' and 'chaas' (chhachh). Main attractions are Rajasthani/Gujrati thalis, pav-bhaji and vada-pao - all unlimited. Combined with excellent Rajasthani hospitality, this place is definitely worth-visiting.

And yes, this dinner was around 12-13 times cheaper than the last one ;)

Dinner at ***** restaurant

Well...what's the big deal, you might ask. Big deal is that it was self-paid! Yeah, not sponsored by any organization. And it did cost me some fortune.

So, it was Prakash's idea (as usual). Went to Dum-pukht at the Maurya Sheraton (on bikes...he he he). What is special about Dum-pukht is the fact that it serves awadhi cuisine or the dum cooking. A nice little story about origin of dum cooking is here.

Certainly, the food wasn't worth the amount of money spent (or may be other way round)...but it was good one time experience.
